First Ride enables all those who participate in extreme sports and outdoor leisure activities a more accessible means of acquiring gear necessary to be successful. Our store and online shop gives First Ride the convenience for our clients to have an optimal experience with obtaining this gear. Along with normal brands, such as Hurley, Burton, K2 and Patagonia, one who would normally participate in the sports would use we will also offer a wide variety of economically sound options and this will be known as the First Ride brand.
Megan Hazlewood, President, and Hunter Goad, CFO formed our company in February of 2014, with the intent on making the market of extreme sports and outdoor activities more readily available. Later Miranda French, CEO, joined because of her interest in the idea of expanding this market. We will employ in-store employees, in-store team leader and marketing manager with a street team to help represent our brand. Along with our store staff, we will employ a team of technologically savvy engineers to construct an appealing and easily accessible website. Our store will be located in Salt Lake City, Utah because this is a prime location for the success of our store and the merchandise we will be selling year round.
We will offer a wide variety of services and products for all seasons including: snowboarding/ ski gear, any kind of lake or ocean activity gear, skateboards or long boards, and hiking gear. We will carry any brand specific to these sports and activities such as Burton, Volcom, Roxy, Patagonia, Northface, etc. While we will have these options, we also hope to create our own brand that will serve as a more economically sound option. Upon opening of the First Ride store in Salt Lake City, Utah, we will be providing a trampoline park for athletes to practice in during off seasons. This facility will have wall-to-wall trampolines and we will provide strap on foam boards that make this a prime way to practice new skills, allowing an optimal practice area for athletes of all terrain. In five years, First Ride hopes to have two stores up and running in Utah or Colorado.
